Participation in the XXXVIII International Congress of the Brazilian Association of Intellectual Property (ABPI)

From August 19 to 21, the city of São Paulo will host specialists and authorities for the XXXVIII International Congress of the Brazilian Association of Intellectual Property (ABPI). This is the largest event of Intellectual Property in Latin America, and the 2018 edition will address the theme “The importance of Intellectual Property in an increasingly innovative market”.

Baril Advogados will be once again represented in this important event. Partners Alysson H. Oikawa, Mariana Chacur, and Maikon Oliveira, will attend panels and plenary sessions, and have meeting with IP colleagues from Brazil and other countries.

The event, which was attended by around 1,000 participants in 2017, shall have the participation of important entities and government agencies, such as the Brazilian National Confederation of Industry (CNI) and the Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office (INPI), as well as international organizations of IP like the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI).

For three days, judges, businessmen, government officials, lawyers, scholars and experts in the field are going to discuss, in panels and plenary sessions, many issues related to Intellectual Property: Patents, Copyrights, Technology Transfer, Biotechnology, Cultivars, Internet and Sports.
