Post-Graduation in Business Management and Planning, FAE/PR/2004. Attended short-term course in Franchising and Intellectual Property, at Georgetown University (Washington, DC, USA), 2005.
He has worked as an attorney for the companies of the O Boticário Group for 8 (eight) years. He participated in the elaboration and implementation of the Franchising Agreement - O Boticário for, approximately, 2,000 Franchisees, in 1999, was responsible for the management of the Intellectual Property area, including a portfolio with more than 1,000 trademarks and patents, in Brazil and another 80 countries, took part in the structuring of the Legal Department for the O Boticário Group, in 1999, as well as the structuring of the Intellectual Property area of the O Boticário Group, in 2004, result of the elaboration and implementation of a project (Review of processes) aiming at reducing registration and maintenance costs of trademarks in Brazil and other 80 countries, as well as a more efficient protection of the Group’s intangible assets.
He has lived in the US (Washington DC) and worked for the law firm BURNS, DOANE, SWECKER & MATHIS LLP, one of the biggest and most traditional law firms in the USA, specialized in Intellectual Property and Franchising, established in 1936 and that currently is associated to the law firm Baril, Brandão & Brofman.
He’s a member of the Associação Brasileira de Franchising (Brazilian Franchising Association) and participates in the Legal Studies commission and coordinated, in 2003, the Legal Studies on ISSQN/Franchising commission. He is a FGV/RJ (Post–Graduation Course on Intellectual Property) and IBC (International Business Communication) lecturer. He is also an ADPO (Academia de Desenvolvimento Profissional e Organizacional) lecturer, an arbitrator for the CAESP (Franchising Arbitration Chamber) and a lecturer for the Georgetown University (Washington, DC, USA). He is the sole attorney in law in Paraná that is a member of the Franchising Commission of the OAB/SP and of the sub-group of Intellectual Property of the Câmara Americana de São Paulo (AMCHAM-SP).
